Lay one small stone each day. Soon, you’ll walk in the fortress you’ve built.

What We Build Through Repetition
Daily life is built from repeated actions. Over time, those actions become habits, and those habits shape how we move, feel and function. 34Works was developed through more than twenty years of working with people of different habits, goals, limitations, schedules and backgrounds. Every lasting structure is built through consistency. The body is no different. What most people search for or often lack is a structure that fits the reality of their lives. Over the years I noticed that real sustainable progress rarely comes from extremes. It comes from consistency, doing the right things often enough for the body to adapt. Improvement is rarely dramatic, usually quiet. One better movement, one stronger week, one healthier habit. Small improvements accumulate. Eventually the sum of what we do and how becomes the person we are.

Every structure needs a foundation first.
The body relies on a foundation of symmetry, mobility, strength and endurance. From that foundation, everything else becomes easier to build. When the foundation improves, movement becomes easier, posture follows naturally, and the body adapts over time. There is a temptation to begin with intensity. I have found it is usually better to begin with quality and observation. Better movement creates better strength, better strength creates greater resilience. Endurance becomes more useful when the body moves efficiently. The order matters. A foundation does not always strike the eye, yet everything built afterwards depends on it.

No Two Journeys Begin in the Same Place
Every person has different habits, proclivities, experiences, limitations, injuries and ways of moving. No two people begin in the same place. 34Works begins with the person. The goal is to build or rebuild a structure the body and mind can sustain over time. During the past two decades I have worked with so many different people, professional athletes, people struggling with obesity, individuals recovering from injuries, and many who simply wanted to move without pain again. Their goals, interests, starting points, and habits were different. Yet the principles remained remarkably similar, and also not alike for each. The body responds to patience, repetition, consistency. It responds to it's own natural progression. From that perspective no two journeys begin in the same place. The path for each is different, even for going trough the same map.
